学びの準備 ／Prepare to learn	ねらい ／Goal This course is designed to help first year students improve their English speaking and listening skills and their overall ability to communicate. メッセージ ／Message Students must bring their textbook and a notebook to every class. 到達目標 ／Attainment Targets Develop autonomous learners and improve oral communication skills.
学びの実践 ／Learning Practices	授業計画 ／Class Plan テキスト・参考文献・資料など ／Textbooks, references, materials, etc. Keep on Running: Marathon Mouth Series Book 2, Intercom Press (Available at Asano Bookstore) 学びの手立て ／Way of learning Regular attendance and a willingness to communicate in English are crucial for this class. 評価 ／Evaluation Students will be evaluated based a variety of listening exams (75%) and presentations (25%). Students should note that there are no makeup exams for listening exams that they might miss. Missing one listening exam, however, will not have any impact on one's final grade. Points will be deducted for attendance problems.
