学びの準備 ／Prepare to learn	ねらい ／Goal The purpose of this class is to help students improve their speaking and listening skills as well as their ability to communicate in English in real-life situations. メッセージ ／Message In this class you will learn many useful expressions to help you to become better at speaking English. In general, I will only use English in class. Japanese will sometimes be used on handouts and quizzes, but I will help students who are not Japanese. 到達目標 ／Attainment Targets You will be able to: ・ask and answer questions more quickly and smoothly ・speak more fluently ・use the vocabulary you learn in daily conversation ・give short presentations in English
学びの実践 ／Learning Practices	授業計画 ／Class Plan テキスト・参考文献・資料など ／Textbooks, references, materials, etc. This class will use the textbook Natural Speaking (Intercom Press). You will write in the textbook, so you need to buy a NEW textbook. You cannot use a used textbook. In addition, you will get many handouts, so please buy an A4 file for Oral Communication II. 学びの手立て ／Way of learning ・More than 30 minutes late to class=1 absence ・Being late twice=1 absence ・Less than 66% attendance=不可 ・Late homework=zero points (Homework must be done on time.) ・Students should use English as much as possible in class. ・Students should be quiet when the instructor is speaking. ・After each class I will send everyone a Line message with the homework. Please read this message carefully. ・If you have any questions, please send me a Line message (“OC II 2024”). ・If you are going to be late or absent, please send me a Line message as soon as possible. ・If you are absent, you still need to do the homework. First, read the Line message and if you don’t understand the homework, ask me using Line. ・When you are absent, I may send handouts to your OKIU email account. ・If you can’t print out the handouts, do the homework on looseleaf paper or in your notebook. ・If you are absent when there is a quiz, please take the quiz in the next class. 評価 ／Evaluation Quizzes/listening test/homework=50% Presentations=20% Interview test=20% Class participation=10%
