学びの準備
／Prepare to learn

ねらい／Goal	This class is designed to improve students' speaking and listening skills as well as their overall ability to communicate effectively in English in real-life situations.
メッセージ／Message	In this class you will learn many useful expressions to help you to become better at speaking English. You will have many chances to speak in English with your classmates. In general, I will only speak in English in class. Japanese will sometimes be used on handouts and quizzes, but I will do what I can to help students who are not Japanese.
到達目標／Attainment Targets	・You will be able to ask and answer questions more quickly and smoothly. ・You will be able to speak more fluently. ・You will be able to use the vocabulary you learn in daily conversation. ・You will be able to give short presentations in English.

／Learning Practices

授業計画／Class Plan
テキスト・参考文献・資料など／Textbooks, references, materials, etc.	Natural Speaking (Intercom Press) will be used. You will write in the textbook, so you need to buy a NEW textbook. You cannot use a used textbook. In addition, the instructor will give you handouts. Please buy an A4 file for this class. Also, students should bring dictionaries (paper or electronic) to class. Cell phone dictionaries cannot be used in class.
学びの手立て／Way of learning	・More than 30 minutes late to class= 1 absence / Being late twice= 1 absence ・Less than 66% attendance= 不可・Homework must be done on time. Late homework=0. ・If you are absent when homework is due, please send it to me by email as soon as possible. ・Students should use English in class as much as possible. ・Cell phones cannot be used in class. They should be set to silent mode and put away during class. ・Students should be quiet when the instructor is speaking.
