ねらい
/Goal
The aim of this class is to provide a learning space between 2nd and 4th year zemi classes where students can discover ways of exploring matters
of personal and shared interest and importance.
This seminar focuses on bilingual, multilingual, and heritage language education. We will examine methods for teaching in bilingual and multilingual settings, as well as for maintaining heritage language proficiency.

This seminar is for students who are:
interested in bilingual/multilingual/heritage language education;
are willing to participate discussions and other class activities;
are capable to write thesis in either English or Japanese.
到達目標
/Attainment Targets
Through examining literature on bilingual/multilingual education and heritage language maintenance, students will connect theoretical insights with practical applications. Reflecting on their language learning experiences and researching the experiences of other bi/multilingual learners, students will address challenges and explore solutions. Additionally, during the thesis writing process, students will learn how to gather data through surveys and interviews, and perform quantitative and qualitative data analyses.
