In this course the students will begin to develop the ability to give their opinions and then debate on issues of social importance.

This is a great fun class with lots of talking and debating – you'll enjoy it and get much better at speaking in English.

Students will learn 1) how to give their opinions; 2) how to give details on their opinions; and 3) how to debate those opinions. They will also develop their ability to give presentations.

There will be no textbook for this course - all the content will be generated by the students and teacher together in class, in combination with viewing internet resources for homework.

This course is all about group conversation and critical thinking, so you should come prepared to speak lots of English and really discuss and debate with your classmates (only in ENGLISH!).
評価
/Evaluation
Students will be assessed based on their participation in class activities (25%), group presentations (25%), and a final interview exam (50%).
