/Goal
This course is dedicated to improving student's practical English language skills in career settings in the Tourism industry in Okinawa and abroad. They should develop language awareness, acquire specialized tourism terminology,  gain confidence in professional skills, and practice language skills regarding topical tourism issues.

到達目標
/Attainment Targets
Students will improve their English speaking ability in the Tourism field.  Class provides extended listening and speaking practice for students where students actively participate in meaningful exchanges during pair work and group work.  Focus is on listening and speaking proficiency. Students will also have an opportunity to explore the Tourism field as a career opportunity for using their English skills.

It will be necessary to preview and review all lessons outside of class. You will need to work with other students to prepare & practice scenarios and presentations.  You will need to perform scenarios and give presentations in front of other class members.
評価

Four scenario practicum role play or other presentation assessments: 25% each (Oral individual or group projects)
Absences without reason on assessment days = -10%
Minus 2% per unexcused absence
