学びの準備 ／Prepare to learn	ねらい ／Goal The purpose of this class is to help students develop conver sational skills while working on improving their reading and writing skills. Students will learn new vocabulary and how to use the vocabulary they already know in daily conversatio n. They will also study grammar as it is used in daily conve rsation.【プレイスメントテスト結果によるクラス分けを行う】 メッセージ ／Message As a native speaker of English, I will teach you English as it is used in real life. This class will give you many chanc es to practice speaking in English. In general, I will only speak in English in class. Japanese will sometimes be used o n handouts and quizzes, but I will do what I can to help students who are not Japanese. 到達目標 ／Attainment Targets ・You will be able to have basic English conversations more smoothly and naturally. ・You will be able to write basic English sentences more accurately and clearly. ・You will be able to use the vocabulary and grammar you learn in daily conversation. ・You will be able to give short presentations in English.
学びの実践 ／Learning Practices	授業計画 ／Class Plan テキスト・参考文献・資料など ／Textbooks, references, materials, etc. English I will cover the first half of the text, On Your Marks! (Intercom Press). You will write in the textbook, so you need to buy a NEW textbook. You cannot use a used textbook. In addition, the instructor will provide handouts. Please buy an A4 file for this class. Also, students should bring dictionaries (paper or electronic) to class. Cell phone dictionaries cannot be used in class. 学びの手立て ／Way of learning ・More than 30 minutes late to class= 1 absence / Being late twice= 1 absence ・Less than 66% attendance= 不可 ・Homework must be done on time. Late homework=0 ・If you are absent when homework is due, please send it to me by email as soon as possible. ・Students should use English in class as much as possible. ・Cell phones cannot be used in class.
