学びの準備 ／Prepare to learn	ねらい ／Goal This course aims to familiarize students with specialized terminology and expressions commonly used in the tourism industry. Students will develop practical English skills useful for working in tourism-related sectors such as travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and restaurants. メッセージ ／Message ach class will focus on a specific theme related to tourism, such as airport check-in procedures, in-flight services, restaurant menus, hotel check-ins and troubleshooting, and dress codes. 到達目標 ／Attainment Targets Students will be able to explain various situations related to travel and tourism in English. Students will be able to introduce tourist destinations, geography, and cultural topics in English. Students will practice questions from the Tourism English Proficiency Test, and students are encouraged to aim for taking and passing the exam.

All instructional materials will be provided through Google Classroom, and additional handouts may be distributed during class when necessary. 学びの手立て ／Way of learning Punctual attendance is required. Students are expected to prepare for and review the lessons and actively participate in class. Entering the classroom after attendance has been taken will not be counted as attendance. Assignments submitted after the deadline or reports copied from others will not be accepted. 評価 ／Evaluation Final Examination: 50% Midterm Examination: 40% Participation and class performance: 10% Total: 100%

学びの継続 ／Continuing to learn	次のステージ・関連科目 ／Next Stage and Related Courses The Tourism English Proficiency Test is usually held twice a year. In 2025, it is scheduled to be conducted in June and October. Since many topics covered in this course overlap with the content required for the Grade 2 level of the exam, the class will also serve as preparation for the test.
