This department aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of English, practical English language ability that can be used internationally, and information processing techniques for coping with the ever-advancing globalization of society. We also offer in-depth study of knowledge and techniques for becoming an English language teacher to foster human resources appropriate to new teaching environments.

We cultivate talented individuals armed with a global sense and high degree of English language ability by

  • offering training in information processing techniques,
  • fostering practical English language ability,
  • nurturing human resources capable of handling an era of internationalization and computerization,
  • producing English language teachers who possess specialized knowledge, and
  • training Japanese language teachers who are internationally active.
